There is a setting in the Postings on the Ribbon bar for Memo Transactions.
If this setting is highlighted a box will appear above the posting saying MEMO, to turn the setting off all you need to do is select the highlighted wording and make sure it becomes unhighlighted.
When trying to do a posting you will notice that the MEMO is no longer showing and these postings will then hit the cash book.
