The first thing you will need to do is check all postings are done for the end of your VAT quarter, run Aged Debtors and Aged Creditors reports to check what bills/invoices are outstanding.
Once this is done you then need to submit the VAT return through with the amount from the months of Cash Accounting.

You can either reverse the bills and invoices while the Cash Accounting flag is on and then when the flag has changed post these all back on. Alternatively you can do a VAT adjustment through the suspense nominal to clear all these down on the next VAT return (the journal doesn't need posting until after changing the flag to accrual for the VAT)

Once you have got all this information and your quarter submitted the below will need doing:
The Cash accounting flag will need taking off an the Accrual flag will need to be updated by someone in the support team, to do this please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article.
