To change your default web browser to Microsoft Edge, follow the steps for your version of windows below:

Set the default browser to Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 & 11/Windows Server 2019

  • Open Microsoft Edge then, under the address bar, click Set as default.

If the Set as default button isn't available, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Click the three dots in top right, then click Settings.

  3. Click Default browser then click Make default.

Your default browser is now Microsoft Edge.

Set the default browser to Microsoft Edge in Windows 8.1/Windows Server 2012R2

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Click Set as default then click Microsoft Edge.

If the Set as default button isn't available, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Click the three dots in top right, then click Settings.

  3. Click Default browser then click Make default.

  4. Click Microsoft Edge.

Your default browser is now Microsoft Edge.
