PROH Fee Code changes

The PROH Fee Code implementation has been introduced to support new LAA fee code requirements for Crime lower work. This update introduces PROH1 and PROH2 Fee Codes with different hourly rates for representation orders dated on or after 22 December 2025, ensuring correct assignment and reporting of Fee Codes on CDS6 submissions while maintaining PROH as the Stage Reached code.

Submit Historical Claims (May - December 2025) via SaBC Portal

Legal Aid fee earners can now submit historical claims covering the period May 2025 to December 2025 via the SaBC portal. This change was introduced to allow billing for work completed during the extended period when the CWA system was unavailable following the May 2025 cyber-attack. Previously, Legal Fusion only supported current month claim submissions; the portal has now been updated to accept backdated claims across this affected window.

Bank Reconciliation Print Functionality

Cashiers can now print directly from the Bank Reconciliation screen. This enhancement allows users to produce a printed copy of the reconciliation screen in its existing format, making it easier to compare against a bank statement when discrepancies arise. The print option has been added directly within the Bank Reconciliation area for quick access.

Criminal Legal Aid (Remuneration) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 β€” LGFS Fee Update

The Fusion Crime Billing Module has been updated to implement the new LGFS rates introduced by the Criminal Legal Aid (Remuneration) (Amendment) Regulations 2026. This update ensures correct LGFS rates are applied for representation orders dated on or after 3 March 2026, including the implementation of the 65:75:100 guilty plea:cracked trial:trial basic fee ratio and other specified fee adjustments.

Legal Aid – Home Office UCN

The Legal Aid Agency has increased the Home Office UCN to 16 characters.
