Default Client or Matter time rates

How can add a specific rate on a matter for specific fee earners? Why the rate is coming through differently from the main fee earner rates.

You can attach default Client or Matter rates to a Matter or Client.
You can set these up in the Client Rates area in the Administrator Desktop, if you follow the below instructions:

  1. Log into the Administrators Desktop.

  2. Select Client Rates.

  3. Select New Rate, then select the plus button next to the Charge Code to add a new header in.

  4. Put in the code you want to use and select OK.

  5. Add the fee earner level these are shown on the fee earner details in User Manager. These levels will incorporate all fee earners who are set up at that level.

  6. Put in a Date Valid From.

  7. Add the charge required per hour for the level.

  8. You can either select OK or OK/Next if you have more than one rate to put in.

This then needs adding to the Specific Client or Matter record, to add to the Client:

  1. Go into the Client Maintenance and put in the client reference.

  2. On the Details tab there is a Charge Code this needs adding into the box from the dropdown.

  3. Select OK.

To add to the Matter:

  1. From the Accounts Desktop go to the Admin tab.

  2. Select Matter Maintenance and put the matter in.

  3. Select OK and click on the Codes Tab.

  4. In the Charge box select the rate required.

  5. Select OK.
