Fee Earner Level is used by Legal Aid Time Rates and Client Charge Rates, and determines the level of Fee Earner rate to be applied, eg Articled clerk may be level 1, Para Legal level 2, Junior Fee Earner level 3, Senior Fee Earner level 4, Partner level 7, Senior Partner level 8 etc.
These levels can then be used when maintaining the above rates allowing different hourly charge rates to be allocated to each level. It is usual to set the lowest level as 1 and the highest level as 9. The system defaults to level 1.
Navigate to the User Manager section in the system.
Locate the Fee Earner Level settings.
Select the desired grade from the dropdown menu.
If a new level is required, use the option to add a new grade and configure it accordingly.
Save the changes to update the fee earner level.
πNote: If you do not have access to the User Manager, contact your system administrator. They can either grant you access to make the changes yourself or update the settings on your behalf.
