Overview
Use this article to map the correct Legal Aid rates (charge codes) to a work type in your system. This is done in Codes Maintenance by opening the relevant work type and selecting the appropriate charge codes on the Charge Codes tab.
Open Codes Maintenance
Open Codes Maintenance using one of the following:
From the Administrators Desktop, open Codes Maintenance, or
From the Fee Earner Desktop, go to the Admin tab and open Codes Maintenance.
In Codes Maintenance, navigate to Work Types (WKT).
The list of work types is alphabetised by code.
Map Legal Aid Rates (Charge Codes) to a Work Type
In Work Types (WKT), locate the work type you want to map the rate to.
Do one of the following to open the work type properties:
Right-click the work type and select Properties, or
Double-click the work type.
In the work type properties window, go to the Charge Codes tab.
In the Charge Codes list, tick the checkbox next to each charge code (Legal Aid rate) you want to map to this work type.
If needed, click the Code column header to order the list alphabetically by code and make it easier to find the required charge codes.
Your selected charge codes are now mapped to the chosen work type.
